Four years experience in home-tutoring:

I have been a mathematics tutor since mid 2004. During this time, I have taught well over 100 successful students. I am highly experienced at teaching all of the available HSC math courses, as well as university maths subjects.

I have worked at several tutoring colleges:

In addition to tutoring experience, I have also worked at a number of tutoring colleges, including:

  • Pre-Uni New College
  • James An Coaching College
  • Kumon
  • North Shore

From time to time I am asked to contribute to HSC maths textbooks, and these projects take up a portion of my time besides tutoring and completing university.

How I am different:

What you will often find when looking for a tutor is that most are relatively inexperienced, and are recent graduates themselves. HSC students often become tutors immediately after they graduate, and chances are, they forget most of the subject they are teaching because their university course is irrelevant to the subject they teach.

The flipside is older tutors who are more experienced with the coursework, but often can not relate to the student's frame of mind, and how they approach a problem. Often these older tutors are prohibitively expensive too.

What I offer is a combination of both: I have several years experience in this field, and I can approach a problem from the student's perspective, which helps in identifying faults in understanding. I feel that this combination is very important, and was responsible for much of my past successful students.
