What we look for in tutors
Students need someone who can slow down the thinking process. That means showing how to read a question, how to plan, how to choose a method and how to check the final answer.

- Clear communication.
- Respectful feedback.
- Familiarity with HSC-style tasks.
- Ability to set realistic practice between lessons.
A good lesson should include
- A goal for the session.
- A model answer or worked example.
- Student attempt.
- Correction and re-attempt.
- Next action before the following lesson.
